Volunteers Needed for Spring Games (05/15/10)
Special Olympics Maryland Baltimore County is in need of 35 volunteers to assist with its annual Spring Games on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at McDonogh School located at 8600 McDonogh Rd in Owings Mills, MD 21117.
Athletes from Baltimore County & several other counties will compete in a variety of track & field events. Volunteers are needed to assist with hospitality, serve as timers, measurers, athlete escorts, runners, and more. The day will officially kick off at 8:00 a.m. with Volunteer Registration and will continue until 3:00 p.m. All volunteers will be provided lunch and given a t-shirt for their service.
There will be a brief 30 minute Class B volunteer orientation and training at 7:30 a.m. the morning of the 15th for individuals who are interested in volunteering, but have not attended a volunteer orientation and training to date.

Spring Games 2010 Schedule* :
Volunteer Check-in: 8:00 a.m.
Athlete Registration: 8:00 a.m.
Opening Ceremonies: 9:00 a.m.
Competition: 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Closing Ceremonies: 3:00 p.m.
*This schedule is tentative. The day could end earlier than 3:00 p.m., but schedule to be at McDonogh until 3:00 p.m.
